When the partners of the Owaissa Club, Kevin Bette and Paul Wos of First Columbia, were looking at the untouched, wooded piece of land that they bought, they each had a vision of one day having a small, but well planned out, townhome community. They pictured their own families and what they enjoy about spending time in the Adirondacks. In the summer they saw families enjoying the AuSable River, checking out the Lake Placid Horse Show, and getting involved with Wilmington’s Bike Fest. In the winter they saw friends coming home from a long day of ski trail hopping at Whiteface Mountain and heading out to one of the nearby restaurants, maybe the Hungry Trout Restaurant, for some dinner or RF McDougal’s for a drink. Although they had many ideas and thoughts, one image came to mind… ”Community.” Partners Kevin and Paul felt that it was essential to design an Adirondack townhome community that encouraged family and friends to come to the area throughout the year and enjoy all the amenities that the Adirondacks has to offer.
The layout and design of the development allows owners to become not just neighbors, but friends to their surrounding unit owners. In the warmer months, the waterfront access to the West Branch of the AuSable River provides townhome owners a fast, easy route to the water, playground, and picnic areas. When the temperatures drop during winter time, owners can venture out for an afternoon of cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. With such a close proximity to downtown Wilmington, it’s a short walk to nearby restaurants and downtown businesses.
I guess you can say that their vision was accomplished… Owaissa Club stands for community; it’s a lifestyle. Check out the first three units today!!« Let Us Introduce… Owaissa Club Town-Homes! Owaissa Club Gets Ready for Bike Fest »
